Liability Protection

Limit what your business owes

Liability risk is shaped by how your business operates: the controls in place, the quality of your records, and how well your position stands up if a claim arises. We start by understanding those operational realities, then build programs that protect both the entity and the individuals behind it.

The Stakes Are Real

Defending a claim starts before the incident.

Australia's litigation environment is intensifying. The outcome of a liability claim depends on the policy, and it also depends on the records and procedures your business had in place at the time. Strong liability cover and strong operational practices work together.

Defence costs are covered as well as judgments. Many liability claims are successfully defended, but only after significant legal costs. The policies we arrange can cover these costs, subject to their terms and any excess.

Director & officer exposure is personal. Management liability claims can be made against directors as well as the company, and directors can face personal financial consequences that the entity's policies won't cover without specific D&O protection.

Your records matter as much as your cover. Inspection records, incident logs, contractor oversight, and CCTV are often the difference between a claim that's defended and one that's paid. We help clients understand both sides.

Liability Covers

Five covers for the business and the people who run it

Most Critical

Management Liability

Running a business leaves you personally liable as a Director. Any actual or alleged breach of the Corporations Act, employment law, or a regulatory obligation can have serious financial consequences for you personally, as well as for the company.

Management Liability policies bundle Directors & Officers (D&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), and Statutory Liability into a single policy that protects both the entity and the individuals who run it.

Directors & Officers (D&O)
Personal protection for company directors and officers against claims of wrongful acts in their management role.
Employment Practices Liability (EPL)
Coverage for unfair dismissal, discrimination, workplace harassment, and wage claims from current or former employees.
Statutory Liability
Protection for insurable fines and penalties, where permitted by law, arising from unintentional breaches of legislation, such as workplace health & safety and environmental law.

Professional Indemnity

If your business provides advice, expertise, or professional services, Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance protects you against claims that your advice or service caused financial loss to a client. Mandatory in some industries, and worth holding in every one.
